Welcome to Curtis Cottage, a contemporary home located on the scenic shorelines of South East Harbor waterway in Deer Isle. The home has fun architecture and a warm atmosphere with great yard space as well.
Curtis Cottage is a three bedrooms, one and a half bath home. Curtis Cottage is a post and beam house so you can enjoy the sturdy frame of the well built timber home all throughout. Guests enter the home into the dining area with mahogony table, where you look out over a sitting area that brings the views of the cove inside for guests to enjoy. This area enjoys an open concept between kitchen and dining. The kitchen is well equipped to fix meals in the comfort of the home. The kitchen has maple cabinetry and countertops, a classic cookstove creates a great ambience and a nice place to cool down you baked goods or whatever is for dinner (stove is decorative, not for guests use). The first floor of the home also has a living room with a smart TV as well as a DVD player, a couch, chair and a game table to place a puzzle to play a game of chess (board and accessories included).
The second floor of the home has two bedrooms and the three quarter bathroom. The first bedroom has two twin beds and a nice amount of natural light. There is an additional sleeping area. The second bedroom is queen bedroom which enjoys large views of the cove from a wall of water facing windows and balcony. The bedroom also has two dressers and curtained closet space with hanging rod and shelves.
The ground floor of the home contains the laundry room, an additional sitting area and the third bedroom. The basement is a daylight concept so the views of the cove are very much welcomed in by a series of water facing windows as well as a glass door that brings guests out to the patio and the outdoor shower. The bedroom on the first floor has a queen bed, dresser and closet.
The grounds of the property are truly a little slice of heaven on earth. The yard has a covering of lush green grass that gently rolls down to the cove. There is a fire pit near the sea, which extends the outdoor possibilities and enjoyment into the evening hours. And one of the most fun features… the outdoor shower. Curtis Cottage also has a scenic porch area as well as a balcony off the master bedroom to keep guests connecting with the great outdoors in many ways throughout the stay.
Because of the multiple decks, sloping hillside setting and drop down from the yard to the waterfront the home is not ideal for families with children. Additionally the homeowners are not considering pet tenancies.
